Privacy Notes
Travel Research Notebook is designed as a personal notebook for trips. This page explains what data the app may store and how you can manage backups.
1) Data stored in the app
- Trip content you create: trip names, Location/Activity notes, timeline events, cards, tags, and reference links.
- Optional link previews: if the app generates rich previews for URLs, it may cache webpage metadata (e.g., title/thumbnail) on your device to speed up rendering.
2) Data collection & tracking
By default, the app does not require you to create an account. If you do not integrate third-party analytics, the app does not actively track your identity across apps or websites.
If you later add analytics or crash reporting (e.g., for stability), update this page to list: (a) what is collected, (b) why, (c) retention, and (d) how users can opt out (if applicable).
3) Network access
- Opening map links or reference URLs may launch external apps or browsers (Apple Maps / Google Maps / Safari, etc.).
- When a URL preview is fetched, the request goes to the target website domain you pasted.
4) Import / Export & backups
- Export creates a backup copy of your notebook data file.
- Import replaces existing data on the device. Export before import if you want a safe rollback copy.
- Sample data is for quick demo and should be used in an empty trip.
5) Contact
If you want to add a contact email, edit this section. Example:
